Re: 5 Year Strategic Plan 2026-30

Under the Constitution the Club is required to develop a 5 year Strategic Plan. The
Management Committee and Management have been working on this, through various iterations, over the past 2-3 months.

The Plan is now attached for your consideration. You will find that it has a lot of detail, especially as regards to the sales and marketing initiatives that we plan to try in future. We believed that there was no point in having long term goals without having clear ideas as to how we would achieve them.

For us, this will be a working document. For instance, we will be selecting out the 2026 actions mentioned in this Plan and these will become our 2026 action plans and targets.

As many of you will know, David O’Brien is travelling overseas for the next six weeks -(have a fantastic holiday David, safe travels, safe biking and have fun!).
In David’s absence you are welcome to send any feedback on this Strategic Plan to me at heenan@xtra.co.nz. I will pass that feedback (compliments, criticism, suggestions, ideas, etc) to the Management Committee for input to our next Committee meeting on 21 August. Whilst the Plan has been finalised we are still open to the addition of good new ideas!

My sincere thanks to the Committee and Management for their excellent work in planning for our future. It was a great team effort and a very useful exercise.
We hope that members agree with our way of driving the Club forwards.
The future looks bright!
