It was all about Mike Gibbon on our Saturday club day. Mike was the competition winner on 80 Irish Stablefords, but more impressively, he scored a 74, which was less than his age. Well done Mike.....a great achievement.

5. To approve the Club’s 5 year Strategic Plan (2026-30) which was emailed to
members on 18 July 2025

6. To adopt the 2025-6 financial year budget

Dogs on Golf Course and in the Club rooms.

The question of whether dogs should be allowed on the golf course or around the club rooms has always divided opinion at Hanmer Springs Golf Club, see the article below about the committee dealing with this very issue in 1920.

The current committee has set the following conditions.

You are welcome to bring along your furry friend, but please follow these rules.

1. Dogs are permitted on the course but must be kept on a lead at all times. 

2. Dogs are permitted in the outside seating area and the office but must be on a lead.

3. Dogs are not permitted inside the bar at any time.
