Club Day 7th February 2026

Mark Worner won our Club day on Saturday with a very impressive 45 stablefords which included two 2's. Well done Mark, a great performance.

Rae Bowyer was second with a score of 40 stablefords and a personal best round of 93. Any other day this could have won. Well done Rae.

Upcoming course closures 

Over the next month we will be hosting some big events on the course. This is great news for the club as these are very worthwhile from a revenue point of view. Unfortunately this does mean that we have some closures as follows.

16th -18th  February  closed each day until 2pm for Selwyn Vets Event.

25th February - only 9 holes available to members due to Ladies  tournament

26th and 27th  February course closed until 1pm for Ladies  Tournament

6th - 8th March closed each day for Ladies Tournament 18 hole. (check with Mike for any possible openings). 

14th March - Simes Cup. Very limited space available, please talk to Mike 

15th March. Kaikoura Cup. Very limited space available, please talk to Mike

Ladies News: from Ladies captain Sandra Best 

We are looking forward to the annual three day ladies tournament at the end of February. This year we have seen a massive increase in players as this tournament continues to grow and grow. 

It is exciting to have full fields of 96 ladies in the 9 hole tournament and 129 ladies  in the 18 hole event. That 200 visitors along with families and friends to our town.  

We are very grateful to all the Hanmer businesses for their wonderful support and sponsorship of our tournament this year. I look forward to reporting back with results and other information.
