Hanmer Springs Golf Club 18h-hole/ 3 day Ladies Tournament. 

It’s going to be another busy weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) as we are delighted to host 140 ladies in our 18-hole Hanmer Springs tournament.

We have visitors from all around the South Island for 3 days of golf, socialising and competition. Under lady’s captain, Sandra Best and her team of volunteers this event has grown into a huge success. This tournament has been full for several months and has a lengthy waitlist of hopefuls. It’s going to be a huge weekend.

Hanmer Springs Golf Club 9-hole / 3 day Ladies Tournament. 

96 ladies from all over the South Island gathered in Hanmer for the Hanmer Ladies 3 day 9 hole tournament on 25^th February.

The ladies enjoyed three days of golf and entertainment.

The winner of the Ann Vincent trophy for Best Gross was defending champion Melanie Sanders from Waitikiri Golf Club with a score of 41.

The Best Nett winner was Rosie Ross from the Nelson Golf Club with a nett score of 31.

Best Stableford Div 1 winner was Sharon Smith from Timaru GC with 24 points.

Best Stableford Div 2 winner was Linda Dawson from Russley GC with 27 points.

The winners of the 4BBB Front 9 competition were Barbara Turner and Robyn Cameron from Tai Tapu GC with 29 stablefords.

The winners of the 4BBB Back 9 competition were Corinne Toomey and Christine Lake from Russley Golf Club with 26 stablefords.

Course Closed this weekend. 

As we are hosting the 18 hole Ladies tournament the course is closed Friday 6th March through to Sunday 8th March. It is possibel for members to play after 5pm on each day. Please call the office if you wish to book.

Woodbank Park Cottages Top Dog Winners 

In an exciting final the US/NZ team of Adam Jacks and Sam Gavin (pictured below) overcame the NZ/Scots team of Steve Hill and Les Mitchell to claim bragging rights as the clubs Top Dogs. 

Well done to Sam and Adam.
