Hanmer Springs Ladies 18-hole 3 day Tournament.
128 ladies from 26 different clubs around the South Island were in Hanmer for three days last week to compete in the 79th Hanmer Ladies 3 day 18 hole tournament.
The weather was stunning and the course was in fantastic condition. My thanks to Steve and Neil and Dad’s army for all their effort.
There was great golf played and plenty of after match entertainment, thanks to Carolyn’s amazing musical ability and MC skills, ably assisted by Nicky.

The Jean Wilson trophy for Best Overall Nett was won by Lyn Blakie from Temuka with a nett 63.

A huge congratulations to you all.
Thank you very much to all the Tournament Committee (Mike, Bev, Carolyn and Nicky) as well as all the club members who volunteered their time to assist with the tournament. To Ken and Greg and also, David O’Brien for all his assistance.
We had massive support from the Hanmer business community, as well as club members, by way of sponsorship.
Our Eagle Sponsors were Homestead, Four Square Hanmer Springs, Mhor, Oddjob Unlimited (Ken & Carolyn Williams) and Springs Holiday Houses.
We also had 11 Birdie Sponsors and over 20 Par sponsors.
A huge thank you to them all – their support was very much appreciated.
Sandra Best
Ladies Club Captain.
