The club AGM on Saturday the 19th was well attended and by all accounts the club is in a very good place. The minutes of the meeting are attached to this email
Sadly, both our President Graham Heenan and Vice President Ken Williams resigned to focus more on their lives away from the golf club.
Graham Heenan has been a dedicated and tireless president who brought his well-honed organisational and leadership expertise to the fore in leading a very productive committee. His business knowledge combined with great communication and motivational skills guided the club through some big projects. In particular Graham’s work with securing the clubs future irrigation requirements against considerable pushback from ECAN was of immense value to the club.
Ken Williams as vice president was heavily involved in the club. Ken was always available with hands on assistance and advice. Ken spends that much time around the club you would think he was on the payroll. In addition to vice president, Ken was/is a sometimes greenskeeper, a tree planter, wood splitter, rubbish disposal, painter, builder, mechanic, a sponsor and a barman……and much more.
Also resigning from the last committee were Steve Gill, Boio Sarahu Hothersall, and Greg Samson all of whom played an important role in the successful operation of the club.
