Greens Renovations (Coring)

The dates for this years coring have been set for the 27th and 28th of October. The course will remain open on one side during this process. The greens will be playable straight away afterwards but will not be up to their normal standard.

 Why Coring is Important

  • Relieves compaction: Heavy foot traffic and equipment compress the soil, restricting root growth.
  • Improves flow: It creates channels that allow air, water, and essential nutrients to penetrate deep into the root zone.
  • Reduces thatch: Physically removes the buildup of dead organic debris that traps moisture and weakens grass.
  • Aids recovery: Promotes deeper, more resilient root systems for a smoother, healthier playing surface.
